Nappy hair, medium thickness, or light? Sultra’s got you.
Ladies, we all love some volume on our hair, don’t we? We love the way it bounces, gets blown by the wind onto our faces (then we brush it off distractedly with the tips of our fingers and feign annoyance…sigh).
Well, I for one have hip length but pretty uncooperative nappy hair. It could hardly hold curls or stay straight and manageable for three hours without hairspray. You know the cost of professional hair straightening, right? Now imagine how much I spent in the pursuit of luxurious hair! Those days are gone, thankfully since I discovered the best hair product that I am about to introduce.
Sultra The Seductress Curl is exactly what the name suggests. She is a sleek beauty that stole some space in my make-up table and seems like she will be keeping it for a long time.
What Is It About This Flatiron?
I have had a number of hair straighteners before, but here’s why none of them compare to Sultra.
Triple-temps
You know that the best hair appliance is one that has multiple temperature settings to cater to different hair types, don’t you? The seductress has three, for thick hair (like mine), medium-thick, and light. Just choose your poison and curl away.
Light as a Feather it is!
This flatiron weighs a mere 8 ounces! That will not feel like a dumbbell in your hand especially if you have a mane of hair to go through (like yours truly). With any luck (read no distractions from YouTube and toddlers or pets), your hair will be done and ready in ten short minutes.
Automatic Turn-off
This has to be my favorite feature. This flatiron turns off automatically when not in use. You know how you forget to switch it off and place it down to attend to your burning casserole? It goes off on its own to avert the impending disaster.
Forever Is Never Too Long
When the manufacturers say forever, forever is what they mean. The plates on this little one are made of Kyocera ceramic from Japan. We all know the Japanese are known for longevity. So is their Kyocera ceramic. I have dropped my Sultra a few times, (okay, how many times make ‘a few’?) and it still works as it did three years ago when I first bought it. So, if you own or work in a salon, this flat iron is excellent for you because you can count on it to last longer than your hair dryer.
Any Complaints?
Costly
It sets you back $150, which feels like a lot, but then again, how much would you spend in a salon in terms of time and money? Additionally, you are better off buying one great flat iron that will return value for your money than a dozen cheap ones that could adversely affect your hair.
And Finally…
I have owned this product for three years now. I love its sleek nature because that means I can sneak it in almost anywhere. It is portable, looks elegant, and does an excellent job on my nappy hair. This is the best money I have ever spent. Check out the best price on Amazon.
